STX has dropped the official trailer for the action thriller Mile 22 [MIL22], which reunites Mark Wahlberg [MWAHL] once again with director Peter Berg [PEBER].  Wahlberg plays an operative of the CIA’s secretive Overwatch unit that is tasked to retrieve and transport an asset, played by Iko Uwais.  Mile 22 is scheduled to open on August 3rd.

Fox has unspooled the teaser trailer for the musical drama Bohemian Rhapsody [FREDI] about the rock band Queen.  Rami Malek stars as the flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury.  The original director Bryan Singer was replaced two-thirds of the way in production by Dexter Fletcher.   Bohemian Rhapsody hits theaters on November 2nd.

Two female targeted films were still no match on Mother's Day weekend as Avengers: Infinity War [AVNG3] led for the third time with an estimated $61.8 million.  The Marvel team-up has banked $547.8 million.

Life of the Party [LFOPT] debuted in second place with $18.5 million.  The comedy skewed 70% female and 80% over the age of 25.

Breaking In [BRKIN] took in $16.5 million to open at the third spot.  The audience was 65% female  and 73% over the age of 25.

Two new films targeted at women enter the box office battle on Mother’s Day weekend, but Avengers: Infinity War [AVNG3] will once again prevail. Avengers: Age of Ultron decayed 50% during its third weekend while Captain America: Civil War dropped 55%.
