First trailer for Belle

Fox Searchlight has unveiled the trailer for the historical period drama Belle [BELLE] on Apple.  Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars as the real-life Dido Elizebeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral, played by Matthew Goode [MTGOO].  She is raised by her great-uncle Lord Mansfield (Tom Wilkinson [TWILK]) and his wife (Emily Watson [EWATS]), which affords her access into  the privileged world of English aristocracy.   However, her skin color prevents her from being fully accepted by the upper class as she falls in love with the son of young vicar.  Together with Lord Mansfield, they will help end slavery in England.  Belle arives in theaters on May 2nd.
