Movie stocks used to halt on opening day and then adjust on Sunday but it was recently changed.

The site owners wanted more page views on Saturdays so they moved the Halt to then because it allows players to "correct" their holdings based on early box office reports.  Many long time players felt this was a radical change and a bit of a cheat so HSX introduced the .OW derivatives to halt on Fridays so players could still get the thrill of biting their nails over "am I holding it right?"

The FAQ and other information hasn't been updated to account for the recent changes like that.
