I can never remember all the good holidays...so I usually got to Box Office Mojo and click on their "All Time" page which breaks out every
major holiday, month, season, etc. It was good to look at Labor Day and see the record opener was 2007's Halloween. While past performance does not guarantee future results, you can follow the trends and be right more than if you take a gamble on something being a breakout. I get lucky sometimes...but in this case, I completely went with the trend. There was nothing "break out" to me about these movies. I thought ABSTV might pinch me a little but figured it is a post adjust short anyway. CGAME reminded me of Babylon A.D., a big star in a dud of a movie. That is usually how I go about it. Of course, I followed my thoughts on trending and Tarantino movies and thought 24m tops...oops...got that one wrong. But in the end, my trend following pics are more right than wrong.
