Just because players buy or short any security, does not mean the movement price goes up or down every time...
The price movement of securities is handled by HSX's patented computer algorhythm, that determines how much securities go up or down in price. Many people have asked this question in the past as to "how many trades does it take to make a price go up or down" but HSX has never said...trade secret. Sometimes this is a lot of trades, other times, not very many...it's unknown by us.
As you also know - a security will go up in price when a short is covered, or a long is bought...on the other hand the price goes down when players sell it, or short it... So it's possible that all these various trades, coupled with the computer's calculations do not cause the price to move that much...
