So what do I do when i am going to be away for 14 days or more? One, accept some facts. You will not be actively trading. So, set limit orders that anticipate SBO adjusts, with a margin for error. (IE) if a SBO is going to drop to 20.00, I set the limit order to 20.50 so it covers when it adjusts. Don't be greedy, you can't milk the full value if you are not going to be there to cover/sell it manually at its peak. Unfortunatley, one must accept it.
WRT how to play SBOs that will need to be flipped? For those that are only changing a little now and a lot after adjust: I accept the current loss and play through to the next adjust. If there are changing a lot at this adjust, I accept that I will not be there to flip them and set the limit orders to drop them at the appropriate time. So I lose the flip gains. Que cera cera. I can buy them when I get back.
WRT movie stocks, I sell any stocks that are being released while I am away, that I am unsure about (in my own mind). Personally, I get out of the OWs for the time I am away and I set limit orders for the stock I think I know, again, not being overly greedy.
Other derivatives and movie funds can be left unattended.
So, if you set limit orders intelligently (not greedily), play through on starbonds that are close to their adjust, get out of movies that are low yield, set limit orders for movies that are high yield, you should do 90% ok.
Bottom line, accept that you will not maximize your profits while automating your portfolio.
Good luck! Been there, done that...several times. PS, it takes some time to set all the limit orders, but you can vacation in peace once its done.
