This is a simple thing to do....
Let's say that STARZ is a bond that is adjusting DOWN today. The price on the bond is currently $20, and it will adjust DOWN today to $15. You currently own max shares of this at $20 'short.'
Click on Advanced Trader, and enter the name of the bond.
Enter the number of shares you want to 'cover' (since you own it short)
Enter the price to 'cover' it at ($15)
Click "Place Order."
Then today, when HSX adjusts the bonds, and this bond drops in price to $15, HSX will automatically 'cover' this stock for you, sell the shares you have, and you get the profits.
Remember that IF...IF for some reason, HSX calculates the bond price differently than YOU do, and it adjusts to, say, $15.50, then your trade will NOT go through unless the bond continues to drop in price to $15 - THEN it will execute.
You may want to 'cushion' your trade to kick in at, say, $15.70 rather than $15, that way, if HSX adjusts the bond to $15.50, your trade will still go through...
Automatic Trader is helpful to make trades for you, at a specific price you want to buy, sell, short, or cover a stock...when you don't want to worry about whether you'll be here to take advantage of prices or not.
