Playing & Trading Strategy

Hi MitchC. You may already do this stuff, but here's a few tips that could help...

Let me start by saying, I think most of us have had ruts. February was big rut for me as I only gained 1.5% ish on a ~660M port. Just keep truckin' bud because you'll get out of it.

1st and formost, as the players above mentioned, you definitely want to play the Starbonds market. Last year, I took a YTD port from 2M to ~80M in less than 6 months and when I was in the 70s, I would estimate that no less than 25% of my port was invested in Starbonds at any time. As previously mentioned, the HSXDude website is a great way to find quick turnaround investments on most Sundays in the "Pre-Adjust Bond Show". Then, on Tuesdays, check the "Post Adjust Bond Show" for some potential future adjusts. I would also highly recommend the howproifable.com website. It may take a minute to figure out how it works if your not super computer savvy, but you can look at Starbond opportunities week by week for at least a year. For example, you could check out all adjusts for say 5/27 and find all the nice adjusts related to Spiderman 2. Lots of money to be made by using those 2 sites (and others that can be found under the Community tab in the HSX Fansites area.

2nd, It sounds like you may not worry about having full investment in Moviestocks as you mentioned having 10,000 shares of most. Well, with certain movies, I would recommend going all in and buying all 100,000 if you have a good feeling. This is certainly true when you have a good feeling about new Moviestocks (IPOs) that get introduced each day. When you see an IPO that you think is a sure thing like sequels to really popular series' (I think a good example somewhat recently was when XMEN6 came to market) don't be afraid to sell other stuff taht's maybe gaining slowly to get all 100,000 shares. I try to look for flicks that start to sell really fast because once the initial offering runs out (ie. say 40M are available at the opening price and 30M of them are gone by late afternoon) then you can start making money on them that same day. These new IPOs often skyrocket in the first day or two that they are available before sometimes slowly going back down so you can keep them as long as you'd like and then sell them off if you'd like to move onto the next one.

3rd, check out the Blockbuster Warrants. There aren't always a ton of them, but some of them end up be ARP (guerenteed to make you money because the movie has already surpassed the current price of the Warrant). They cash out 12 weekends after the flick opens and you can compare the current price to the amount of money that the movie has already made. A recent example was the Frozen Blockbuster Warrant. If you had gotten in on that even the day before it cashed out, I think you'd have made around a million (not sure of the actual profit from 1 day out, but I thikn it was HUGE).

4th, and this depends on how often you check the site, but try to keep an eye on the Movies board for news about movies. A lot of times, when news about a star being cast in a future movie or a director being attached, the Moviestock will skyrocket at least for that day. You have to be careful doing this though because those same Moviestocks often tumble back down to Earth the next day. Once you get the hang out of trading on news, you can be confident that you have very few days where you lose any money.

Good luck man, I hope you hit 100M by July!
