Because i followed that strategy. For example, it was clear to me that Jared Leto would win best supporting actor. Therefore, I bought it long, shorted the rest. That way you get money when the winner cashes out a H$25, AND when the others cash out at H$0. If there isn't 100% confidence in the winner, it's cool to pick another possible, like Michael Fassbender. If he isn't the front runner and he loses, you won't gain, but your winner will make up for that loss, and the ones that you shorted end up making you profit anyway. I guess what I'm saying is, when it comes to award options, the most important decision to make is who you're confident WON'T win. It worked beautifully for me this year.
