You are looking at it the wrong way samy way I was. When your ranking is say -85 that means you actually went up in rank.

So say your ranking is 10,300.  The next day it says -85.  That means your new ranking is 10,215.   So minus in the ranking is good.   It took me a while to figure it out too.
