Buying Call and Put stocks

If I short Put stock, is it basically the same as buying long Call stock, meaning if movie outperforms I'll get the difference, or will it just zero out?

Its not the same as buying a Call. if you short a Put the max you can make is the price when you short it (the put delists at zero). jwammo Jul 08, 10:39
