Making money by first long, and then short.
I'm sure other players have done this.
Latrly on a couple of movies, I've made a lot of money. (millions, tens of millions) by first holding it for a long time on the long side. Then, if and when the movie underperforms, I buy the maxiumum amount by shorting, and seem to making more millions that way.
It might seem like the ultimate in "greed". However, doing this has given me a nearly one a quarter billion dollar port, so it must be working.
Thoughts on first making a ton of money first on the long side, then on the short side?
