Maybe befroe the news, there were 55million long and 4 million short. That would explain it being down 15%. You have to look at the potential sellers/shorters and buyers/coverers. A stock that is extremely lopsided one way or the other (they are generally long, so most will be substantially longer than short) have lots of potential to move on news that goes against the majority.
