Is there a 'rule of thumb' for when a Movie Stock price is influenced by HSX holdings vs. industry hype / 'buzz' ?

Not including 'outside news': scandals, big star signings / cuts, release dates, ratings, etc.


In other words, are day-to-day price fluctuations before release mostly based on industry perception vs. HSX players buying/selling/shorting/covering.

And, are prices after release mostly based on industry 'numbers' - or do HSX holdings / buy-ins / sell-offs play some role in those changes?
