I really don't think you can make a general statement like that.
Hangover 2 making nearly 3 times in midnights does not mean that it will make 3 times for the entire weekend. That's ludicrous. You claimed that Pirates midnights were lower than Fast Five (if I recall correctly) but it ended up making more on Friday and for the weekend. If you use that logic than Hangvoer 2 will make 6 times its midnights on Thursday (like Sex and the City) and end up with a first day of $54 million!! That's not happening. IN fact, I expect the midnights to be the people just dying to see it and Thursday to be slower cause people have work/school, so I'd expect Thursday to end up around $30 million tops... if it drops on Friday to 25 to 26 than it's looking at a possible four-day weekend that could be UNDER $90 million (and that's using a bigger internal mult than Sex and the City) which would put it around $120 million in five days.
