I've been playing for a few years

got a portfolio near 400 million after playing on and off for a couple of years. Never really paid that much attention until recently and I've just about doubled my money this year. Never really visited these boards until the last few months. They've proven to be very helpful.

This morning I opened up my portfolio to see the readjusts (I lost a little bit on Avatar, but made much more on my short of Morgans) and I noticed that the number 2 earner today was Predator 3. Then I noticed that it was priced at over 80 bucks. This confused me, so I did about 20 minutes of research, and then posted my findings here.

I don't think anything I did was wrong or questinable. All of this info is out there and easily accessible, and all of this is accurate info. Now, I do have my biases; I happen to think that RR is a hack and hasn't made a good film since Spy Kids 2 so I'm doubtful that he's gonna suddenly come out of his Rose McGowan enduced midlife crisis and start making good movies again. Too, I wasn't impressed by Vacancy (though I have not seen Armored). I saw some discussion of the film's rating elsewhere where it was promised to be an R. I thought maybe this had changed, and someone could alert me to it. As it happens, one of the big missing pieces was my lack of accounting for inflation. I have no idea how I forgot that one.

I specificially DIDN'T post it anywhere near reset because I know that that's been a problem for some folks of late. I honestly have no idea why I'm getting flack for this. I did my research, I posted specific numbers and looked at a bunch of factors within the film and the market into which it will be released.

And, I still think that 80 bucks for an R-rated non-tentpole with no appeal to women 7 months out from release is pretty darn ridiculous.
