Studios have been known to do such a thing as counter-programming and it has proven successful in the past.
Maybe they want to change the ending. Maybe it's not ready. Maybe they want to push marketing dollars in another direction first. I obviously don't know why they're moving the film but there could be other reasons besides it stinks or 'something's wrong with it'. Juat tossing ideas out there.
