V: Lionsgate in negotiations for Miss You Already [MISUA] RazorHawk Jun 03, 15:51

It's a Roadside Attractions release {nm} Antibody Jun 03, 16:08

AKA -- easy short. {nm} tawdryhepburn Jun 03, 17:36

Only if VOD. LVMRC & ASLTM have upside potential, for example. {nm} Qix Jun 03, 18:03

Look at their BOM page. The number of releases that crossed 1 million is very, very slim. {nm} tawdryhepburn Jun 03, 18:34

Past performance doesn't matter -- Roadside is a dedicated, indie distrib. Do you have insider info about MISUA? {nm} Qix Jun 03, 18:52

Assuming past performance does matter: How many of those releases starred DBARR (none of her past 10 pics grossed below $5m)? Qix Jun 03, 20:12

Roadside even boasts successful exceptions to the day-n-date rule of thumb, with MARGN ($5.35m) & ARBIT ($7.92m). Qix Jun 03, 20:16

An actresses grosses drop off far more drastically with age. if the movie were commercial LGF proper would release it. {nm} tawdryhepburn Jun 04, 01:36

Not saying that the age thing is good, or always true. But Drew isn't a draw anymore also 67-87 RAtt releases have grossed under MUSAs price {nm} tawdryhepburn Jun 04, 01:44

Agree to disagree about DBARR -- if the film plays & is supported, it'll find a theatrical audience. {nm} Qix Jun 04, 03:40

LGF is a Roadside investor (owns 43%, not a subsid) & therefore expects a commercial return. All specialty labels rely on volume to survive. {nm} Qix Jun 04, 03:37

The film will earn out... but not in theaters. aprox 66% of their films gross under 1 mill. Drew's BIG WISH only did 8 mil with wide release {nm} tawdryhepburn Jun 04, 11:42
