Real/film/traditional Imax 3D uses actual film reels, and uses two prints- one for each eye. When properly calibrated (which shouldn't be a problem) the frames run perfectly in 3D, giving you proper stereoscopic 3D
IMAX Digital 3D has a bit of a delay inherent in the system, running the images 1/3 of a frame out of sync. This collapses the S3D effect when there is movement and is generally more headache inducing.
