Whether the previews deliver on the promise is how you see really big vs "run of the mill for this type of movie" opening weekend numbers (or do we forget how BvS dropped through the weekend)...and the previews have been getting better (the 1st being the worst), and fans are more hopeful for a good movie than a few months ago (me being one - I'm a 1st weekend supers movie goer IF they are good - Deadpool and Cap got me in this year - BvS, after my Friday morning comic shop discussion, and XMen did not)...I'm on the fence if I'll be there 1st weekend til I see more info - I'm sure many are like me, but if you asked me if I'd go opening weekend, right now, I'd say yes, thus the tracking...it's the hope of the promise of something new and cool onscreen in a summer with not much of that...
No matter how tracking fluctuates from now til the movie, I think that absolute floor for this movie is $80M (even if this gets 10% reviews) or about 20% higher than the number XMen got (since that was a sequel) - I think the ceiling could be wildly big if this comes in as a good to great movie. I don't want to speculate, but when I said 3 figures easy, I meant it...
