The Metacritic average isn't looking good right now at just 47% MoneyMagnet Aug 02, 13:13

reviews won't harm the scarley o'hara effect for the fanboys and girls... Its the Gone With the Wind buzz for the comicbook generation {nm} jmt-nl Aug 02, 13:27

Reviews do hurt - it's gonna keep the top-end down and kill legs... TwoMisfits Aug 02, 13:30

It will hurt legs for sure, like BvS, but opening weekend will still be huge. Hold long and sell the adjust {nm} tomcat90 Aug 02, 14:16

Opening day will be solid, but can drop off the following day. It'll still grab the August record, though. {nm} Jay_Beezy Aug 02, 14:19

+1, word travels too fast. Between now and Thursday, and after Thursday until Sunday are the buzz pockets. And now is helping decide later. {nm} chosenone2oo5 Aug 02, 14:31

The only reviews that will count will be the theater goers. If Harley or the Joker performances approach tradermark Aug 02, 23:18

The responses I've seen to some is defensive and accuse the reviewers of not understanding the comics. Tickets bought in defiance. leo21 Aug 02, 18:11

Reviews won't affect opening day, but films can drop off on Saturday as word gets out on the Friday they don't live up to expectations. {nm} Jay_Beezy Aug 02, 14:16

Also, expectations are more than "is it a good movie?". It's often about "does the movie live up to its marketing?" (spoiler spec) RogerMore Aug 03, 07:23

Seems like about double what 9 Lives will actually do. Tops. UConnHusky Aug 02, 13:56

Must've looked good on paper, amIright? {nm} chosenone2oo5 Aug 02, 14:32
