The vast majority of test screenings are done in LA/NY, but they will sometimes branch out to other large markets.
AMC Burbank, the Arclights, The Grove, etc. Would be theatres that are recruited outside of as examples.
However the odds that you are going to see a major tentpole are pretty slim (they rarely will ever tell you what film you are seeing) and these are generally on a random week night vs on the weekend.
