the old saying is "when you have a choice between fact and legend, print the legend."  Right Stuff was ALL legend, and tremendously enjoyable for the mythmaking.  First Man is nothing but fact and that's almost inevitable not as comforting or enjoyable as the myths we want to tell ourselves
