Studios buy tickets for friends and fam. Is there a mechanism in place to prevent artificial inflation? And do they count for presale? McNavia Mar 07, 22:58

Disney screens the movie once, the day it opens for employees, is that what you mean? Disney is not inflating their box office Moviesnob Mar 08, 06:55

they buy out tickets, not really shows. Its less obvious when you buy out tickets on opening weekend. And almost every indie does that {nm} Moviesnob Mar 08, 09:53

Thanks for the replies. And I’m not looking to get out of anything. Just curious if this is practice in the industry. {nm} McNavia Mar 08, 16:44
