I wonder if they already negotiated deals with talent from the film for the HBO Max series.
If they really put the number of villians in THE BATMAN that rumors say they did, then they're stuck having to use them for the series.
Batman at least has a lengthy rogues gallery and Killer Croc, Clayface, and Mr Freeze could be handled with CGI and voiceovers only.
