They make bad business decisions that lead to bad creative decisions that lead to bad final products...it is inevitable the consumer will stop paying. That is why Hollywood is officially dead: they do not care about making quality films (or telling quality stories) any longer. Clearly the WB just want to piss off Johnny and prop up Amber--how exactly does that make their films better? How does that improve their content library for HBO Max? How does that bring in additional box office revenue? How does that make the script better? How does that make the production values better? How does that make people care about their films?
It doesn't.
