An actress who has spent much of her career dabbling in independent film, Parker Posey made her professional debut in the daytime soap As the World Turns. Posey earned a featured supporting role in the 1993 Richard Linklater film Dazed and Confused. Some of Posey's more memorable films include the 1996 indies Waiting for Guffman and The Daytrippers, as well as Hal Hartley's 1997 film Henry Fool.
