According to DL Pathaan would cross $100m global today! Broken US/Ind/UK records for an Indian film (previous: Dangal which still holds WW)
Did some research, apparently Dangal (amateur wrestling movie) was a huge hit (by Indian movie stds) in China! And so it still holds the global record but perhaps not for much longer. India record was $48.9m, US $13.4m, UK ~£3m. Its the first $50m movie in India. Its also at no. 3 in Imax for an Indian film (I guess might take no. 1 there too by the time its done if it gets a few screens for 1 more week).
Box Office is alive & kicking everywhere!
