I wonder if Murder Mystery sequels follow the same rules as other sequels, though.

Considering they're Happy Madison, they go as a part of Happy Madison's Netflix deals.

I guess it's probably an issue with JANIS more than ASAND, since she went from an executive producer on the first to a regular producer via her production company on the second. Then again, she'll probably take any amount for the paid vacations to goof around with him.
