Sheesh--the Friday (14th) screens and bookings are huge locally. Also see a Hindi movie named Chhaava doing brisk ticket sales. . .
To be sure, I'm more upset that Chhaava--which reported almost $5M in two weeks--was never even listed because I profit from HSX antipathy on Chinese and Indian movies. But I do (as in that message and the one before it) occasionally highlight when I see a movie has momentum with my local demographic.
But on a very much related note, at first first blush, name a foreign animated dubbed film that made a ton of money in the US? Now, make it based on Chinese mythology. I'm imagining shorting this future IPO. It's always about the audience.
Also--Antibody question--would this be a re-release or an IPO? This is important if the "well-known voice talent" had a Starbond because now they either get the benefit for that $19M or not. Isn't this fun? Now I can hardly wait!
