Unfortunately at least for the sci-fi crowd, JLETO is now a liability when he wasn't when he was first attached (8-10 years ago?) but...

Was too loose of a sequel for fans of Tron to get interested in (making Tron into Darth Maul in Legacy was a narrative mistake)

At this point the only way any new TRON film gets made is as a ground zero remake and it'll have to be a "TRON" moment that looks

radically different than current FX technology.
