I don't think that's how it works. When Marvel does marathons, the money all goes to the new movie.
Same with those marathons when it involves one ticket that includes a new release. Yes, drive-ins do split the money but that wouldn't be the case with Wicked, even with this weekend's rerelease (which is doing the same thing as Back to the Future and other rereleases where the money is tacked onto movies previous box office)
