and as I had mentioned before.
if someone goes long let's say 10k of shares it will reduce the IPO float by 10k, but then if that person needs the money for something that is already moving and sells back that 10k of shares, IPO float will of available shares will go back up...
this actually made it more clear for me in regards to why some of the earlier IPO's had 10 million longs and 1 million shorts and went down the next day. Mostly likely it was because the float was 12 million (maybe more) and it was never reached so it never moved up, and then at reset traders sold those sitting ducks and caused the price to drop. Interesting stuff...
