looking at the moviestocks that have gained/lost the most for the day and then buy/short accordingly.  That's been working for me lately.  

Two things I do:

1. play only 1 long stock and 1 short stock...and as a rule keep the price under $20.

2. do the buy/short as early in the day as possible and then sell/cover when the gain/loss doubles from when I bought/shorted.  I never do this after 10AM.  If (and sometimes when) my daily pick(s) makes a turn, I sell/cover at the 5% price.

So... (JOE'S MOVIE) is on the top of the daily market watch at 15.00 (+2.50).  Under $20, so I buy.  When it gets ups to 17.50 (the rise has doubled) or gets down to 14.25 (the turn is at 5%).  

Granted this hasn't worked every time; however, I've managed to rebound from red numbers every morning for the last month to the tune of a daily green between $500k and $1mil. 

I'd be curious to hear what's working for others who are finishing positive for the day without giving in to the day trading monster.
