I understand that some of you are going through withdrawal with the disconnection of the "guru" sites. I feel your pain, I have beeen there.
Some will take to pen and paper or spread sheets. Here is my shortcut, in the head method. Out of 1407 current bonds, 707 have attached movies with release dates some time in the future.
Out of these 707, a total of 630 already have 5 moviies in the TAG and this is the simplest to do in your head.
I am going to refer to TOJON as an example since I have already posted it.
Step One: Determine the movie whiich is being dropped from the TAG, Usually it is the fifth down from the new one, but you have to be careful for liited movies which may have opened before the new movie, or wide releases which opened later, which have already delisted and are already in the TAG.
In the case of TOJON, CAPA2 is the fifth oldest in the TAG, being replaced by ANTHR.
Step 2: Subtract the TOTAL box of the movie dropping out from the Total box of the new movie. If the new movie is in release, the current value of the MovieStock is a good approximation. (remember the cap of 250)
In our example: ANTHR 2.96 minus CAPA2 250 = -247.04 A negative value means a reduction in TAG. A positive value means an increase in TAG.
Step 3. Divide the amount from step 2 by 5 because there will be 5 movies in the TAG.
-24704/5 = - 49.41
Step 4 Add the amount from step 3 to the current TAG. This will be the EAP
In our example: -49.41 + 51.61 = 2.20
Step 5 compare the current price to the EAP. If hhe current price is greater, it is a short. If the current price is less than the EAP, it is a long.
When you feel comfortable, use approximate numbers to get you close. If it is down to a couple of pennies, either way, it ay not be worth your effort to make the investment.
As usual, have fun.
