1. No surprise on this one. The NHL wants a bigger % Share and to put a limit on Long Term Contracts (Yashin, Luongo). Several Teams are essentially getting around the Salary Cap with these LTC's. A deal will be struck without a lockout as they will agree to raising the Salary Cap. This should give the Players approximately the same overall. Bettman is in the driver's seat.

2. The Islanders drew the least number of spectators of all 30 Teams. Brooklyn could be a good choice but a move to Quebec smells like the most likely option. Zero chance for Saskatoon but maybe someday. At some point there will be an NHL Team in Hamilton, much sooner than Saskatoon.
