nah, not really....I know a tiny, tiny bit about golf, but stats and odds rule gaming
The earlier you bet the winner in a golf tournament, the better the odds you get. And there is so much randomness to winning a tournament (even 7 shot leads into the last round haven't been safe in recent major history) where everyone can win so you have to get the best odds to play.
Similar approach to NASCAR where you have to play certain drivers before qualifying to maximize those odds.
Basically playing either type of wager is throw away money b/c there are too many variables to take into account (sweet when you win though). Its why regular team sports and one on one events rule betting volume.
