As you listen through, you can understand the number of false/misleading guesses by Law Enforcement working their way through the aftermath and capturing the shooter. Sort of like watching the full 9/11 broadcast again (way more personally shocking).
Shooter only had 30 round mag, not 100, used 4 different weapons, rifle, 2 handguns, and a shotgun. Which is why they thought multple shooters were present. Some bullets penetrated to next theater, which hinted at explosives used.
Shooter came into movie theater as a moviegoer, dressed as "Joker" (dyed hair red too), left through Emergency Exit, car was parked outside, put on gear and weapons, then came back in through propped open emergency exit.
Nearly impossible to combat that much planning unless you want TSA style scans and no emergency exits at all theaters, malls, and concerts.
