I think you're right.

Extrapolating further, I think it might be Walt's kid(s) that end up being his downfall as they will likely get caught up in the whole mess somehow and Walt has to make a decision.

The fact that Walt's kids are especially vulnerable (Flynn's obvious disability, and the baby), raises the stakes even higher for both Walt and the audience.

In the episode recap, Jesse points out that the "S will hit the fan" for him in Episode 6.
