Dr. Davis Telephone Please Dr. Davis. Dr. Blair, Dr. J Hamilton Dr. J Hamilton
How often do you hear this? It seems like I hear it about once a week these days.
21 years I've been waiting for these 3 slacker MDs to come to the phone or answer their pages. I first noticed it in Queensryche's album Operation Mindcrime. And I've since heard it in no less than 2 dozen movies and TV shows. WTF?! Isn't there another generic hospital sound a movie studio can dig up to use once in awhile?
It's about as common as the "Wilhelm Scream."
Dr. Player, paging Dr Player. Dr. Hamilton, Dr. J. Hamilton......

Hmm, I've heard it wrong all this time.... It's actually Dr. Blair, Dr. Blair. Dr. Hamilton, Dr. J. Hamilton.... Ring any bells with anyone?

The exact line reads as, "Telephone please, Dr. Davis, telephone, please. Dr. Blair, Dr. Blair. Dr. J. Hamilton, Dr. J. Hamiltion"

"Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard" -- Huh, I had not heard of the standard loop, but, it may be quite old, if, perhaps, the Three Stooges

The most recognizable stock sound that I'm aware of, is that eagle screech used in a gazillion establishing shots of the great outdoors.

It's actually a red-tailed hawk screech. I should know since I had to hunt through sound libraries to find it. :)

What is "the Wilhelm Scream", though.. ? From this link and description of a few of these phenomenons:

Cool. Maybe I'll win a bet on that, someday.
