I am happy to pay tolls for roads, and I recognize it is my duty to pay taxes to support the general welfare of my community...
that would cover police, fire departments et al. But I do think the 1942 emergency bill enacted to allow the government to take money from my check in the form of withholding taxes is wrong. It should be repealed...or allowed to expire as was intended.
My money is electronically held in a bank and if I chose I would never have need of a greenback. The paper is worthless and is printed not on the basis of government but on the trust of the people. I would welcome your study of that debate. Now I'm not calling for us to go back to the gold standard....but your assertion that it is the government's money because they print is comical. But then . . . I am not surprised that you devalue the individual over the will of government.
As for helping the least privileged....I'll compare my charitable donations to yours any day.
