1. Saul leaving. Is this the last we see of Saul? Cornhusker bound... crazy the impact Walt has had on SO MANY people.
2. Saul/Walt scene was great. Two caged puppies awaiting their placement into a new home. One content with whatever his new life will bring and the other who feels helpless with (unknowingly or knowingly) little life left to breathe.
3. Todd's gratification of the death of Drew Sharp. He had a smirkish smile when Jesse was talking about that. His desire for Lydia in itself fits his character to perfection.
4. The paperclip. Watching the last episode the third time I noticed the clip attached to the picture and it never really hit me until he was staring at the picture in this episode, then it immediately hit... as it was meant to do.
5. Skyler and the DEA. They made it a point to the audience to show that without Walt, they will not let up on Skyler. Pay close attention to that for next week.
6. Todd in Holly's room. A tense scene. One in which you really had no idea about what was going to happen, because Todd is just that unpredictable.
7. Tood & Lydia. Start talking high percentages and Lydia perks right up.
8. New Hampshire. Walt in the gas truck from New Mexico to New Hampshire... OUCH! Not even a blanket or pillow? The cabin started a very depressing set of upcoming scenes for Walt... truly helpless, sitting alone in a room cutoff from the world to do nothing but stare at his money.
9. Heisenberg. For a second, then the realization hits if the move was to stage a comeback ala Tony Montana, that would have been better served whilst still in New Mexico.
10. Scene w/ Jesse's escape. This had to be a couple weeks. Jesse's wounds are healed a bit (at least his eye). It was good to see him actually make that leap from the bucket... great scene.
11. Andrea. Terribly unfortunate. Her association to Jesse was her ultimate demise, and after she had shaken the drugs and life appeared to be much better. This was a hard scene to take. Todd is ruthless.
12. Walt waiting for his owner to get home. Waiting at the door for daddy to bring him his treats. Terribly sad.
13. Skyler has a public defender. Pay attention here. She has nothing, they are setting this up for her to take the fall alone. The only person that can remove her from harms way...
14. Paying $10k for an hours worth of company. Oh how far Walt has fallen. He is in true hell and though some feel he deserves worse, this is just about as bad as he could have imagined it. Alone, family loathes him, Hank dead, millions to spend but no way to spend it, and ultimately slowly dying.
15. Two kings. Forester flips two kings, and much like the king of the last episode on the chess board, this has true meaning. Who is the second king... Todd, Lydia, Jack?
16. Wedding ring. That was the motivation, the spark that ignited this man to finally trek through the snow and no longer sit helpless. The dog is out of his cage.
17. The call. Great scene for Jr. He almost had us believe that he would forgive his father, but the pain is too real and Walt finally realizes it's over for him... or is it?
18. Call to DEA. Great stuff and the drink he orders at the bar (Dimple Pinch, Neat).
19. Charlie Rose. WHOA, Walter White is a household name!! His once close friends turning their back on him (understandably) and discarding him as having nothing more to do with Gray than help with the company name. Gretchen calling him a "the sweet, kind, brilliant man that we once knew long ago, he's gone"... set a chain reaction within.
20. The hair raising ending... powerful stuff. The music was perfection to end the episode, because they can't end the last episode with it. Heisenberg has been summoned back for his last stand. He didn't finish the scotch and take from that what you will... glass was almost empty, but there's still a shot left.
I think the finale is going to be EPIC... I hope you all enjoyed this episode as much as I did.
