Can see how you would be incredibly disappointed - they never Scored a Goal in their last two most important Games. But they were never really into this Game. The Finns played exactly the same type of game against Canada.
If Canada gets Hammered at something (Team Pursuit Speed-Skating), no reason to get Bent-Out-Of-Shape with somebody pointing out that they got Hammered. They got Crunched, expected more, disappointed, but that's the way it goes.
'It's All Over Except For The Crying' is a common phrase used in Canadian Sports. Even the CBC, CTV, TSN Commentators have been known to use it, especially in Blow-Outs. The CurlingCommentators even used it in the GOLD Medal Curling Game after the 3rd End.
'Elvis Has Left The Building' is a common American saying.
Was personally hoping for an Awesome Exciting Hockey Game. Even would have hoped for Overtime.
