It's more alarming+Disturbing of how clearly Jarecki portrayed Durst as the sociopath killer in the ficitonal film+clearly juxtaposed the Gavelston murder with the implication (off the bridge) of the 1st wifes murder.... Durt was changed ever since witnessing what he did as a child - Live, unflinched...That will forever change+Haunt someone...Durst knew Jarcki's stance on his character as a guilty killer as still reached out...The hot mics captures were chilling... I think if you look at Jarecki's background you will see very identical parallels to Bob (Wealthy NY Tri-State Families - Jarecki's owned a major shipping business+Jarecki created MoviePhone he sold to Yahoo for a large sum, Both lived in Westchester -at one time, most likely their families were in similar circles or had run ins)...So Durst may have perceived Jarecki as one of "his kind"...But that bookbag, I thought there was always a gun in that bookbag (possibly even a head!)...
One strange thing to point out - Take a look at Jarecki's other documentaries+fascination with powerful NYC family inside crime (Caputring the Friedman's, etc)....I wonder if he himself has a criminal family secret that interests him so much about this topic. I mean I think its personal to him!... incredible documentary JINX - deserves an award+Honor for doing the due dillegent police work+investigation that police+other didn't...He Found new admissible EVIDENCE!!! The opening credits are very visually similar to True Detective but overall a magnificent and compelling Doc... Real Detective work is done in the Doc! incredible!
Just finished watching HBO's "The Jinx". Really riveting and interesting stuff. I highly recommend the 6 part doc. Mar 22, 03:17
