I loved some aspects, some not so much
1. Hate reserved seating. Love to be able to plop down wherever, and move if needed (to get a better view, avoid talkers, heavy perfume wearers atc.) Theater was at least half open, but of course we get sammiched in between group/couple on both sides, all of whom are talking, munching loudly, ordering lots of stuff. sure you could complain, but...
2. Short films before the film instead of ads is great. Robot themed clips ranged from very interesting to very wtf!
3. Very nice to be able to have a beer while watching a film. also had mozzarella sticks
4. Classic trailers for Eve of Destruction, Escape from NY, and Scanners! (Ive never seen scanners somehow)
5. Servers drop off your bill around halfway thru the film, then come back to collect, so thats awkward and noisy when trying to watch a film (espcially one like ex machina that really warrants paying attention to). also, lady next to me using phone to find credit card, read bill, etc, sucked
so in theory, i like the concept alot, but in practice, well i'll stick with the regular theater here. But for certain films and groups of people, im sure it could be fun.
Tho if anyone who goes to similar theaters has tips for a better experience, would love to hear them
