Today, a kind-hearted woman tried to give me $20, "So you and your dog can get some food."
I was having my vehicle serviced, and was walking my Brittany in a nice shopping area. The woman stopped her vehicle in the parking lot and approached with the $20. I had to refuse several times.
Holy cow! I am trim, but not unhealthy. Was dressed casual, but not poorly. Now, my dog is very fit, and of an athletic hunting breed. I have been given grief on several occasions, about having such a "skinny" dog. But, I use a veterinary clinic with 3 doctors, and all have told me on multiple occasions that my dog is at her ideal weight, and, of course, that most dogs that people are used to seeing... are overweight. Other folks with fit hunting dogs have commiserated with me, but, I think my experience today beats all.
