So, I listened to Jeff Flake's book while driving halfway across the country - and coincidentally through Arizona
Its largely self serving (for him and me both - he's mostly preaching to the choir with me) but still somewhat shocking separation from his party's de facto leader when he's up for re-election next year. His voting record doesnt hold up to his words - he votes with Trump 90% of the time per 538 - so grain of salt, etc etc. Et Tu Flake?Melodrama in US politics indeed! Still I found it worth mentioning here b/c it should be an interesting case study for political strategy going foward. I'd rather try to stimulate discussion than just yelling at each other. The book is at its best when discussing the fall (in his mind) of conservative politics.
