Interesting idea. Can you follow up on that?
1. Not sure the issue would be unlicensed day care facilities as local authorities would be all over that. Parents would be doing checks, asking questions, seeking credentials, etc. Most likely standards enforcement / quality inspection issues.
2. If we moved day care to the elementary schools, who would take on those teaching roles? Would you move kindergarten teachers down, and hire new teachers for kindergarten? Not sure teachers want to move down to day care positions. Not really what they went to college for. So, would the local shady day care workers be accepted by the local schools in these new day care positions? They would seem to be more the problem than the solution.
Just curious how it would work. Thanks, it's an interesting idea parents might love.

In Ontario, we have full-day kindergarten as early as 3 y.o. which takes on a big chunk of that range. {nm} Sep 28, 13:15
