Youre saying it caused no uproar, are you sure. maybe there was and you/we didnt hear about it. regardless, it didnt make national news so if you had asked me about the flag back then, i would have had no thoughts on it. dont remember reading any articles on it, dont remember people speaking on it.
but the thing is, truth and knowledge sometimes take a while to come to light. kaep has become someone with a voice, using it now to speak about the symbolism. he seems like a good enough dude, seems rational enough, and people are listening and agreeing with him. as a white male, ive never been oppressed so im gonna defer to the people who are the people who were abused ,and im leaning to supporting their view, or at least willing to understand more about it. now if a white guy wants to explain why this flag is ok and should be honored, go for it and ill hear you out. but all ive seen from white guys is "shameful" "no rational person" etc
