I never said it did. Just that viruses spread best in certain conditions. We can't close down society for 2 years.

There's an acceptable level of death. We can't aim for zero, because the restrictions would be more devastating. We allow a certain amount of death with the flu each year without shutting down. So it's a balance to keep the amount of cases/deaths at a reasonable level while lifting as many restrictions as possible.

It's unfair to saddle our young people with a lifetime of debt, another crap economy, years of no jobs, all to save the lives of 'boomers', many who are already sick and may not live long enough to see another President, coronavirus or not.

I've seen estimates of 130 million people potentially dying of famine caused by food shortages from this shut down. Some countries have stopped exporting basics like grain. If you thought the PPE hoarding by governments was bad.. things may be a lot worse come this winter, when it is expected that this pandemic will kick into overdrive.

We need to get back to work and begin preparing for the second wave.
